This January the municipal government launched the work of encouraging self-employed households to become enterprises. Xiaolan Town seized the opportunities to mobilize the local self-employed households. By June 30, 613 upgraded self-employed households have registered as enterprises, accounting for one third of the 1915 enterprises upgraded from self-employed households.

480 of the 613 enterprises engage in manufacturing, 73 in trading, and 11 in crop plantation. Grouped by ownership, 54 of the 613 enterprises are limited companies, 558 are sole proprietorship enterprises, and 1 is partnership enterprise.

It is learned that the registered capital of these enterprises totaled more than 60 million Yuan with the highest one of 2 million Yuan.
