Hengmen Fishing Port under the scorching sun yesterday morning

As South China Sea summer fishing moratorium ended on Aug 1, leisure fishery tourism becomes heated. All of the fishing boats to be at sea on Aug 1 were ordered in July. On the occasion of the summer holiday, tourists follow on the neck of another, and the leisure fishing boats have been arranged clock full.

This year, the voyage number of 20 leisure fishing boats in Hengmen, Nanlang Town has reached 664, carrying 6157 passengers and generating a total revenue of over 800,000 yuan. As for a single voyage, a net income of over 500 yuan can be made by leisure fishing boat, three times as much as the pure fishing boat. So far, leisure fishery tourism has become an efficient means for fishermen to get employed. It not merely increases fishermen’s income, but also fosters the development and stability of the fishing zones.
