Gangkou put great efforts into creating a new development mode featuring quality industry, modern logistics and distinctive commerce.

In Gangkou, economic development is not the only goal to pursue: equal importance has been attached to people’s livelihood. This year 360 million yuan will be injected to develop livelihood projects.

Years of efforts Gangkou government made to upgrade industrial structure finally paid off. According to the contracts signed in this year’s 3.28, quite a few central enterprises and private businesses chose Gangkou for their projects to take root. In June, Jiangsu Yurun Group will start the construction of a 3000-mu farm products purchasing center in Gangkou Dafeng Logistics Center. The 7-billion-yuan project is expected to provide 20000 job opportunities and an annual turnover of 20-30 billion when it goes into operation.

In these years, Gangkou never slacked off its efforts to create new economic growth points. Based on its convenient traffic and countryside scenery, Gangkou began to develop agricultural tourism. Moreover, as the town housing a state-level game & amusement industrial base, Gangkou had every reason to develop industrial tourism. At the same time, efforts were made to promote modern logistics and services.

In the 3·28 fair, Gangkou took home 12 newly contracted projects, 18 in-construction projects and 21 in-operation projects. The contracted projects are expected to bring in 8.53 billion yuan of investment and 300 million yuan of tax income, the in-construction projects 7.85 billion yuan of investment and 200 million yuan of tax income, and the in-operation projects 160 million yuan of tax income when putting into use.
