Guagndong Commission of Economy and Information Technology recently released the list of the second batch of "Pilot Internet Plus Small Towns". The Eastern District became Zhongshan's first provincial level "pilot internet plus small town". This March, the Eastern District put forward the Plan for Accelerating the Implementation of Internet Plus Industries. The plan highlighted "Internet plus" industries including “Internet plus education” and “Internet plus finance”.

The Eastern District is expected to become in 3 years an industry cluster of Internet plus businesses with output value exceeding 10 billion Yuan. Based on Internet plus industries, the Eastern District plans to construct an Internet industry system by incubating 5 listed companies and attracting 20,000 high-quality talents.
