Following the city-wide high-quality development conference, Zhongshan held the groundbreaking ceremony for major projects in the first quarter at Mingyang's modern energy and high-end equipment technology park in Cuiheng New District on February 6.
A total of 144 major projects with an aggregate investment of 34 billion yuan started construction this time, including 113 industrial projects with a total investment of 27 billion yuan.
These projects cover key sectors such as high-end equipment manufacturing, next-generation information technology, modern services, infrastructure and new energy.
The Mingyang technology park, which started construction this time, will be built into a green, low-carbon, digital and intelligent international corporate headquarters targeting high-end industries, with a planned total investment of 10 billion yuan. It is estimated to achieve an annual output value of over 50 billion yuan.
At the sub-venue in Torch Development Zone, 16 projects including the Bay Area Medicine Valley medical technology accelerator project commenced construction, with a total investment exceeding 5.4 billion yuan. These projects cover the fields of medicine, optoelectronics, hotel, headquarters economy, infrastructure and others.
At the sub-venue in Guzhen Town, three projects with a total investment of 340 million yuan broke ground, involving smart lighting production and development, driver power and photovoltaic energy storage.
At the sub-venue in Huangpu Town, 11 projects commenced construction, with a total investment of 3 billion yuan. They are expected to achieve an annual output value of over 5 billion yuan and an annual tax revenue of more than 200 million yuan. These projects cover such areas as smart home appliances, new materials processing, and precision parts manufacturing.
