The Ministry of Ecology and the Environment on July 19 reported on the national ambient air quality in June and the period from January to June in 2021. In June, Zhongshan ranked 8th out of 168 major cities in China, while it ranked 10th in air quality from January to June.
This June, an average of 82.6% of days had good air quality among the 339 prefecture-level cities and above, down 2.6 percentage points from a year earlier.
Among the 168 major cities, the air quality in Haikou, Lhasa and others was relatively good. Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Zhongshan, Huizhou, Zhaoqing, Dongguan and Foshan cities in Guangdong province made the national top 20, among which Zhongshan ranked 8th.
An average 84.3% of days from January to June had good air quality among the 339 prefecture-level cities and above, down 0.7 percentage points from the same period last year.
Among the 168 major cities, the air quality in Lhasa, Haikou, Huangshan and others was relatively good. Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Zhongshan and Huizhou in Guangdong made the national top 20, among which Zhongshan ranked 10th.
