Voluntary tree-planting activities were simultaneously carried out at city, town and village (community) levels across Zhongshan city on February 19. City leaders together with entrepreneurs, military officers and soldiers, and young pioneers participated in the activity held in Cuiheng New District, taking actions to participate in the construction of a green, beautiful, ecological Zhongshan.

More than 10,000 people in the city took part in the activities on the day, with over 25,000 trees newly planted, including camphor trees, kurogane holly trees, banyan trees, indochina dragonplum trees and bald cypress trees, covering a green area of 422 mu.
