The one-month-long Piaose Festival concluded recently in Nanlang Town. This year’s festival themes on carrying forward historic and cultural heritage and experiencing a lively Nanlang with major activities such as viewing Piaose, appreciating lotus flowers, and tasting Litchi and seafood. Drawing 100,000 people to participate, the festival serves as a springboard to help Nanlang, Sun Yat-sen’s former residence, be built into a modern tourism town.
Nanlang features a large area of lotus, which appeals to visitors from neighboring areas every summer. On Jun.11, the 7th Lotus Festival was held in Zhongzi Square.
