The bridge that was built in 1977 was enclosed for demolishment. The picture was shot on May 28, 2013.

Qijing River Bridge 2014 was ready for traffic. It is shot on July 31, 2014.

The first steel truss was hoist and fixed on July 5.

The systematic test was conducted to Qijiang River Bridge on July 21. While the steel truss was hoisted on the west side, technicians were inspecting whether it was fixed well.

When the steel trusses was hoisted, workers were tightening the screws at the joint sections on July 11.

Workers were fixing the decorating belt on July 30, 2014.

Workers were fixing lights on the ceiling of the western tower on July 29, 2014.

Workers were removing the pipes and trusses under the bridge so that big boats and ships can pass though bridge when it was open to traffic.

Workers were coating on the steel trusses on the east side on July 29.

Workers were fixing security fencing on the well-fixed steel trusses on July 14.

Workers were welding the stainless steel handrails on July 21.

                                      Workers were polishing the welded joints on the steel panel after the steel trusses were fixed well on July 21.

The newly built Qijing Bridge was exactly the same with the old on in function, structure and the exterior style. The design service life reached 100 years. The renovated bridge will continue to carry Zhongshan people’s emotion, collective memory and humanistic context.
