On 8th June, Zhongshan Municipal Bureau of Ocean and Fishery held an activity of multiplication and fish releasing in Gangkou in order to celebrate the National Ocean Day. On the activity spot, about 40,000 fish fries were released, including 307 Chinese sturgeons. As a kind of rare fish in China, Chinese sturgeon is strictly controlled in its breeding.

In addition, Zhongshan will release more than 9.2 million fish fries in Xiaolan waterway, Shiqi River and Xijiang River and so on in order to promote the protection and recovery work of marine fishery resources.
