The Phase II project of the waste incineration plant and leachate treatment plant of Comprehensive Waste Treatment Base of Zhongshan Southern Group was recently connected to the power grid, marking the beginning of its trial operation.
The Phase II project is located in Waisha Village, Shenwan Town, with a total investment of 1.187 billion yuan and a covered area of 69.55 mu (over 4.6 hectares). It is equipped with three 750-ton/day garbage incinerators, two 35MW condensation extraction turbine generators and a 1,000-ton/day landfill leachate treatment system.
At present, it is the largest waste incineration power plant in Zhongshan, and its environmental emission index passes national standards.
It is estimated that all production lines of the Phase II project will be completed by the end of this year. After being put into full operation, it can treat about 820,000 tons of garbage every year to reduce garbage volume by 90% and weight by 80%. At the same time, the heat generated by waste incineration can be used as energy, and the power generated by the heat waste can help save 120,000 tons of standard coal per year.
