Zhongshan's first town-level environmental advisory panel that is composed of 13 experts advisors was established on June 5. It will engage in giving advice and suggestions on industrial park renovation and water treatment in Huangpu Town.

At present, there are more than 4,000 industrial enterprises in Huangpu, some of which have problems with extensive development and weak awareness on environmental protection. Huangpu invits experts to participate in the advisory panel on behalf of their companies or themselves to provide enterprises with training and guidance for green development and tackle major environmental protection challenges.

The advisory panel plans to organize a quarterly meeting of all members to resolve environmental protection and governance problems in Huangpu and supervise the progress of environmental protection projects; organize environmental protection training for local enterprises every two months to provide special guidance services for specific enterprises; conduct joint inspections or visits to enterprises at least once a month; and organize on-site law enforcement guidance and professional training sessions.
