At the beginning of this year, Shaxi Town partnered up with Zhongshan Cable Network and Lvjing Environment Co Ltd to renovate and upgrade the Fenghuangshan Waste Transfer Station. The construction was completed on November 9 after nine months.

"Here is our 5G-powered intelligent command and control center for environmental sanitation management. Through a big data platform, we can stay updated on all procedures," said a spokesperson for the waste transfer station.

Lvjing Environment invested more than 16 million yuan to fully upgrade the station by adding sewage treatment systems, bulky waste crushers, waste gas treatment systems, new domestic garbage and kitchen waste transport vehicles and in-plant refuse transport production lines.

After the renovation, Shaxi's daily waste disposal capacity has increased to 600 tons, and its waste treatment management and disposal capacity can meet the needs of urban development in the coming decade.
