On November 28, at the Zhongshan Intelligent Environmental Protection Command Center, the staff monitored air pollution emissions of a local enterprise with an intelligent system. It allows the staff to collect real-time data related to pollutant discharge from enterprises on a 24/7 basis.
"In case of any excessive discharge by an enterprise, the system will trigger a warning, and the staff of the Zhongshan Bureau of Ecology and Environment (ZSBEE) will conduct on-site investigation immediately in collaboration with local environmental protection departments," said a staff member. "The investigation will be done in 50 minutes."
Since the beginning of this year, ZSBEE explores and adopts an innovative Internet+ environment supervision model by improving its services with intelligent technology and developing the first "online ecology and environment bureau" in Guangdong.
