Zhongshan Radio Museum, located in the attached building of Zhongshan Museum, is the first radio-themed museum in China. The two-storey building includes an exhibition area of 330 square meters with more than 200 radios in exhibition. The exhibition is arranged in chronological order, offering a glimpse to the history of radio manufacturing in China, the historical changes in politics and economics, as well as the history of mass media with the development of radio industry as its background.
The museum has a collection of 2000 radios, from the first generation of radio manufactured in China to the radios manufactured in the 1980s. As systematic and comprehensive as it is, the collection is of great research value.
The collection is a free donation by Zhongshan citizen Mr. Qiu Jianqiu.
