Overseas Zhongshanese introduce the history of the cultural relics.
To prepare for the establishment of Overseas Zhongshanese Museum, a team was sent by Zhongshan Bureau of Culture, Broadcasting, Television, News, and Publication, Zhongshan Bureau of Overseas Affairs, and Zhongshan Federation of Overseas Chinese to some Japanese cities with concentration of ethnic Chinese in Japan. The collection team stayed in Japan from Nov.3 to 10.
Besides collection of cultural relics, the team also undertook the task of connecting overseas Chinese. The trip provided a chance for the collection team to learn about the life and work of overseas Chinese, to introduce Zhongshan’s social and economic development and the construction of a historical and cultural city. The Japan collection trip is the third one of its kind after the 2010 and 2011 trips to Australia and America. Due to earthquakes and wars, the historical data left by overseas Chinese in Japan is even more precious.
