The 2nd Traditional Chinese Opera Night for the youth from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas areas took place at the Zhongshan Culture & Art Center on the evening of July 3.

Some 1,300 people from all walks of life, including compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, overseas Chinese, and returned overseas Chinese and their families, enjoyed the show.

The audience also included national model workers, representatives of the culture and art circles, and builders of the ShenZhong Link.

The show kicked off with Cantonese music "Lion Dance" and "Ode to Litchi", followed by a series of fantastic programs of Cantonese Opera, Chaozhou Opera, Gezai Opera, Kun Opera and modern songs. Young opera artists and renowned opera performers from Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas areas came together to present an extraordinary spectacle.

The performers would participate in a cultural tour in Zhongshan to experience the city's rich cultural deposits. They would also visit the ShenZhong Link to experience the convenience of travel between Shenzhen and Zhongshan.
