The legend about Ms Zheng Xiaoying, the first female conductor in China spreads around Zhongshan: beginning to have her first piano lesson at 6, making her debut at 14, managing an orchestra at 80, and keeping conducting 30-40 symphony performances every year, founded the first privately-run symphony orchestra in China…. On Sep. 9, Zheng, together with the celebrated pianist Yin Chengzong and Xiamen Philharmonic Orchestra, will present Zhongshan audience with the 40th anniversary concert of the permiere of Huanghe. And on 11th, she will hold a seminar on music.
