Zhongshan Leisure & Tourism Festival will open in June. It comprises 13 activities and lasts for nearly a month in Shiqi, the commercial and cultural center of Zhongshan.

The 13 activities such as dragon boat race, artistic performances, food festival, etc. are characterized by grandness and influence due to its high level organization, broad participation and strong supports from the government and all walks of life, including 1 million yuan from Perfect (China) Co., Ltd. and 500,000 yuan from Daxin Properties Limited.

During the festival three kinds of the lotus named after Sun Yat-sen, Sun Wen Lian, Zhongshan Lian and Zhongshan Hongtai will be demonstrated in Zhongshan for their very first time. The latter two have been able to be planted in Zhongshan while Sun Wen Lian can only be planted in Nanjing. In addition, some hotels and restaurants will make efforts in bettering Shiqi Pigeon to attract customers.
