7 episodes documentary to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen’s birth

CCTV-4 column “National Treasure Files” intends to broadcast 7-episode series to celebrate “the forerunner of the democratic revolution” from November 7. The thematic documentary will also be broadcast in CCTV Asian Channel, CCTV American Channel and CCTV European Channel to reach more audience. 
The documentary series, lasting 15 minutes for each episode, focuses on Sun Yat-sen and is set in Zhongshan, Guangzhou, Macau, Nanjing, Beijing, etc. They involve many well-known events like Sun’s appeal to the high-rank official Li Hongzhang and his endeavor to save the country without pursuing medical study. About one and a half episodes are shot in Zhongshan. The first episode is set in Cuiheng Village, introducing his family background and primary attempt for revolution.
