Evaluation of "Zhongshan Literary Award" sponsored by China Overseas Exchange Association to commemorate the 150th birthday of Sun Yat-sen has been finished, and the result will be released recently. The award ceremony will be held on Nov. 8 in Beijing. The literary award received 150 entries presented by authors in 25 countries and regions. "Zhongshan Cup" overseas Chinese literary award was born in 2009 in Zhongshan, the hometown of Mr. Sun Yat-sen and a large number of overseas Chinese. The award which is the first one of its kind focusing on themes of overseas Chinese has been held for 3 times. 
Around the 150th birthday of Mr. Sun Yat-sen, "Zhongshan Cup" overseas Chinese literary award has been renamed "Zhongshan Literary Award" and has been taken into "the cultural China" program of the Overseas Affairs Office of the State Council to improve overseas Chinese recognition of their native culture. The literary award has 1 first prize, 4 excellent work prizes, and 5 shortlisted prizes. The prize money is 300 thousand Yuan, 60 thousand Yuan, and 30 thousand Yuan respectively. The award added 3 “talent scout prizes" with 5,000 Yuan prize money per person.
