Shiqi District Office announced yesterday that the 9th Zhongshan (Shiqi) Leisure and Tourism Festival will open from September 29th to October 29th. This year will be the first time for special events including art tournament Shua Ku Qi Ji (Cool things in Shiqi), painting and calligraphy exhibitions for the 150th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen’s birthday, display of famous local products in Zhongshan. Performing time of the favored motorboat show will be extended.

Expected to open on September 29th in Central Power Plaza, the festival will cover a total of 18 activities featuring themes like culture, tourism, commerce, etc. For all the foodies, Qi Wei Zhi Lv (eating in Shiqi) Food Carnival will be held during the festival, presenting all sorts of local snacks. Held at the same time is the Wechat activity GrabSquab Voucher, with which consumers can enjoy a Shiqi squab for free in the specified restaurants.
