A cycling group of 30 members departed for Zhongshan from Zhuhai on Mar, 5, as part of the campaign of “a happy and healthy Zhongshan”.
This is a professional cycling group, who started from Guangzhou University City on April and traveled along the slow road networks in hopes to arouse people’s curiosity for cycling travel. They started in the early morning and reached Zhongshan, the six stop of the route, yesterday.
So far, the slow road networks in Zhongshan have covered 182.7 kilometers, including Route 1 and Route 4, the former of which runs through Shatian Water Village and the mangrove wetland from the north to the south while the latter through Wuguishan Ecological Reserve and the center of Zhongshan from the northwest to the southwest. The slow networks within Zhongshan are along varieties of tourist attractions, comprised of four main parts—Cuiheng Village, Zhongshan downtown area, Wuguishan Mountain and Water Village in Minzong.
