On Jul. 10, a press conference of The 2nd Cross-Strait Zhongshan Forum was held in Guangzhou.

A press conference of The 2nd Cross-Strait Zhongshan Forum was held yesterday in Guangzhou. The forum is scheduled to be held in Zhongshan from July 24th to 25th. High officials from both sides will deliver keynote speeches. Provincial and municipal leaders Jiang Changfang, Deng Xiaobing, Liang Lixian, and Lin Huaxuan attended the press conference. The forum is sponsored by Taiwan Affairs Office of the Central Committee of the CPC and Guangdong Provincial Government, and is undertaken by Taiwan Affairs Office of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee and Zhongshan Municipal Government.

According to the organizing committee, the theme of the forum is “Carrying forward the spirit of Sun Yat-sen and joining hands to rejuvenate China. The topics of the forum focus on Sun Yat-sen thoughts and “China Dream”, Sun Yat-sen thoughts and economic construction (introduction of the construction of Cuiheng New District), and Sun Yat-sen thoughts and cohesion of Chinese nation. The forum is expected to carry forward Chinese culture, enhance the cohesion of Chinese nation, and promote cross-strait political, economic, and cultural communication.
