The National Technical Committee on Tourism of Standardization Administration on November 17 announced the list of the first national model tourism areas. Two sites in Guangdong province made the list, including Zhongshan's Tourism Area of Sun Yat-sen Hometown.

The Tourism Area of Sun Yat-sen Hometown is a national 5A-level tourist attraction. Located in Cuiheng Village, Nanlang Sub-district, it includes five core scenic areas, which fully present Dr Sun Yat-sen's growth environment, revolutionary activities and stories.
