A parent-child summer camp was launched aspart of the 11th Lingnan Tour for Taiwan Youth activity on July 11 at Yanzhou Academy in Zhongshan.
Approximately 140 people, including families from Taiwan, families of Taiwanese businessmen in Zhongshan and students from Yanzhou Primary School, enjoyed drunken dragon dance shows and an ancient academy tour in Zhongshan.
They also learned about the agarwood culture, and made incense and did cooking themselves. In addition, they visited Guinan Village in Wuguishan Sub-district, a village famous for its unique culture and tourism in Guangdong Province, to experience the achievements of high-quality development and rural revitalization.
In the evening, they searched for fireflies and celebrated together with a bonfire party. During the sharing session, they reminisced about the history and culture related to Sun Yat-sen.
During the activity, they would also visit the Museum of Dr Sun Yat-sen in Zhongshan and the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, the Memorial Museum of Generalissimo Sun Yat-sen's Mansion and the Whampoa Military Academy Memorial Hall in Guangzhou to discover the significance of the history and culture related to Sun Yat-sen.
