During the May Day holiday, tourism administrations of Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, and Zhongshan jointly organized tour exchanges to commemorate the 1911 Revolution. The launching ceremony of the activity was held on May 1 at Sun Yat-sen Memorial in Zhongshan. The first tour includes 500 tourists organized by travel agencies and some 1911 Revolution research experts and scholars.

By grasping the opportunities of the centenary of the 1911 Revolution, the tourism administrations of the four cities organized concurrent tour exchanges with the same theme to strengthen regional cooperation in tourism so as to establish a joint tourism brand of the four cities.
