To commemorate the Centenary of China’s 1911 Revolution, “Treasured Memories: Display of Sun Yat-sen’s Relics Collected in Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling” was launched on April 12 at the Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling in Houhai, Beijing.
Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling has a collection of over 320 relics and historical materials related to Sun Yat-sen. Most of the relics were carefully preserved by Soong Ching Ling when she was alive. The ongoing exhibition displays about 110 well-chosen pictures and relics, half of which are making the debut. The relics on display include Sun Yat-sen’s personal name seal, pistol, fur coat, hat, and so on.
What highlights the exhibition is that while showing Sun Yat-sen’s revolutionary course, the exhibition also reflects the unwavering love between Sun Yat-sen and Soong Ching Ling through a large number of relics and historical data including their wedding picture, picture of Sun Yat-sen’s last will moment, and other Sun Yat-sen’s pictures taken with Soong Ching Ling.
