The Awarding Ceremony of the fifth Chinese historic and cultural famous town was held in Beijing, awarding Huangpu Town as one of the member. Fang Weiting, Party secretary of Huangpu received the awards on behalf of the town.

Being the city’s first and the province’s ninth famous town with the title, Huangpu Town boasts rich history and culture. According to historical materials, it was one of the three major towns of Zhongshan. The town conserves more than 60 fixed historical sites, and as much as 43 senior trees over 100 years old. The key conservation zone boasts beautiful natural environment, its geographical location of mountains and seas, and its ecologic conservation.
