Three big events are around the corner, the opening of Sun Yat-sen Culture Week next month and the coming 100th anniversary of the Revolution of 1911 and the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party next year. Vice Secretary Peng Jianwen made the request to the departments and towns that Zhongshan’s culture should play a key role to promote the city’s development of famous cultural city and sustainable development.

With the theme of “Zhongshan’s spirit and cultural brand”, as many as 66 activities with three categories will be held, including summit forum of “Sun Yat-sen and memory and research of the Revolution of 1911”, and “Overseas Chinese and the Revolution”. It is the last Sun Yat-sen Culture Week, since from next year, it will be upgraded as Sun Yat-sen Culture Festival, combining activities with industrial upgrading, culture, tourism and people’s livelihood.
