Zhongshan-Guangdong Tourist Year for Overseas Chinese, and Zhongshan Tourism Festival opened in Shaxi Town on April 30, showing Zhongshan’s charm as hometown of overseas Chinese, and as a city with Lingnan folk culture.

Zhongshan initiated this grant festival last year, following by the other cities in the province. This year’s opening ceremony shows its unique characters with a new outlook and the on-the-way developing. The city offers abundant thematic tourist routes to overseas Chinese.

The five-day event hosts also some forum for “Overseas Chinese Cultural Resources and Tourism Development”, in which experts and scholars discusses over the tourism developing based on the local feature of the city’s culture.
