In December 2005, the State Council designated the "National Cultural Heritage Day" to be celebrated annually on the second Saturday of June. To celebrate the 5th Chinese Cultural Heritage Day on 12th June 2010, cultural units of Zhongshan government held various activities by focusing on the theme of “Cultural Heritage Is around Me” and combining with the International Museum Day to publicize the achievements of cultural heritage in the society. The activities include a series of lectures in Zhongshan Museum, Exhibitions of the Achievements of the 3rd National Survey of Cultural Artifacts, Painting Show of Zhongshan Experimental Primary School and so on.
