The yearly Sun Yat-sen Cultural Week will be officially launched in the Former Residence of Dr. Sun Yat-sen today——the 144th anniversary of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's birthday. On the same day, the 16th Asian Games will open in Haixinsha Citizen Square, Guangzhou.

With the theme of "Promoting the spirit of Sun Yat-sen and shaping cultural brand", Sun Yat-sen Cultural Week involves 80 activities, covering memorial, cultural and tourism aspects, among which the highlight is the Forum of “Retrospect and Prospect of Dr. Sun Yat-sen & the Revolution of 1911”. So far, nearly 30 domestic experts engaged in the research of Dr. Sun Yat-sen have been invited to attend the forum.

With the upcoming of the Asian Games and the Revolution 1911 next year, series of splendid activities will be held successively, rendering Zhongshan the focus of the society.
