On March 11, city leaders planted “Woods commemorate the 100th anniversary of 1911 Revolution”. On March 12, organized by women's federation and Xiaolan Town, more than 100 families planted the first parent-child woods. On April 2, 10 foreign friends jointly planted several saplings, which represent friendship and hope, in Dong’gangwan Park. Those foreigners are from 10 countries – America, Canada, Japan and so on. Since then, we will have "Renda Lin", "Aimin Lin", "Jinguo Lin", "Music forest", etc.

The first “forest month” activity in Zhongshan history drew a successful conclusion yesterday. According to preliminary statistics, during the “forest month”, investment of Zhongshan greening reaches up to 1.065 billion yuan (including social capital 320 million yuan). A total of 100,000 people had planted more than 200, 000 trees. People from walks of life have participated in creating a green and harmonious Zhongshan.
