The 2023 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Zhongshan Shiqi "OCT Cup" Dragon Boat Invitational is scheduled for June 22 in the Dragon Boat Culture Park (the water area of the Qijiang River from Dongming Bridge to Kanghua Bridge).

Men's long dragon boat (traditional dragon boat) group, men's international 22-rower dragon boat group and women's international 22-rower dragon boat group will be set up this year, attracting 40 teams from around the Greater Bay Area.

Aside from water skill shows and a real dragon boat exhibition, there will be a series of cultural, tourism and business activities as well, including folk art parades, a food carnival and an intangible cultural heritage bazaar.

Additionally, a star concert, a consumption festival and dragon boat Banquets will take place during the event.

As a mass folk cultural activity with a long history of over 500 years in Shiqi District, dragon boat racing was selected into the provincial intangible cultural heritage list in 2012.
