2025-03-10

Built in the Qing Dynasty, the Liang Clan Ancestral Hall in Chongkou Village, Nanlang Sub-district has a history of over 300 years. Through renovation, it has been turned into a history museum to retain village memory, preserve local culture and boost the development of rural culture and tourism.

"The ancestral halls carry villagers' collective memories and are an integral part of the village's history. We establish a museum in the Liang Clan Ancestral Hall, not only retaining its traditional functions but also giving it new cultural value. It is now a window to showcase the village's history and cultural heritage," said Liang Wanping, a member of the general Party branch of Chongkou Village.

The museum primarily showcases Chongkou Village's history, culture and achievements with photos and text. "We hope younger generations can remember the hardships of their ancestors, cherish the present life and work together to build a better hometown," said a villager.
