According to a notice released by the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, this year, a total of 62 provincial key construction projects are arranged in Zhongshan, with a total investment of 334 billion yuan and a planned annual investment of 38.16 billion yuan.
The number includes 9 annual key construction projects of Guangdong, with a total investment of 93.16 billion yuan and a planned annual investment of 10.43 billion yuan, and 53 annual key construction projects of Zhongshan, with a total investment of 240.82 billion yuan and a planned annual investment of 27.73 billion yuan. Thirty of them are preliminary projects, with an estimated investment of 241.87 billion yuan in total.
There are two newly-commenced projects included:
First, the second phase of Zhongshan's East Outer Ring Highway (the north-south extension of highway from Huangpu Town to Tsuihang New District) (Zhongshan section), with a length of 12.84 kilometers, will be under construction from 2022 to 2026, with a total investment of 19.241 billion yuan and a planned investment of 180 million yuan this year;
Second, the second phase of the Zhongshan Depot of Guangdong Grain Reserve Management Corporation, which has a storage capacity of 80,000 tons with supporting facilities, with a building area of about 9,900 square meters. It costs a total investment of about 129 million yuan and it is expected to be completed in 2023.
Two intercity rail transit projects, the Nansha-Zhuhai (Zhongshan) Intercity Railway and Zhongshan-Nansha-Dongguan Humen Intercity Railway, are included in the provincial preliminary projects plan. The Zhongshan-Zhuhai-Jiangmen Water Supply Integration Project, Greater Bay Area Dike Consolidation and Upgrading Project, Zhongshan- Zhuhai-Jiangmen Oil and Gas Main Line Project among others are included as well.
