As of the end of March, about 11,600 new jobs were created in Zhongshan. In the first quarter, the market demand for labor was about 193,300 jobs, and there were about 107,400 job seekers. The demand-supply ratio was 1.80, down 0.2% month-on-month and 0.94% year-on-year, but still at a normal level.
The manufacturing industry had the greatest labor demand with 137,229 open jobs, accounting for 71% of the total labor needed.
