Chan, a 66-year-old Hong Kong resident in Zhongshan, was sitting in front of a tea table eating wampee fruit and chatting with the staff of Bokai Community on June 23. "I'm so happy living here!" Chan said. It only took her two months from visiting and inspecting Zhongshan and making up her mind to settle down in the city, and now she has lived here for seven years.
Zhongshan is attractive to many people from Hong Kong who choose to live here for its good living environment and working conditions. They all think "feel like at home here in Zhongshan".
Since reform and opening up, many Hong Kong people have come to Zhongshan for investment, business, and living purposes. With increasingly close exchanges between Zhongshan and Hong Kong, more and more Hong Kong people have moved to Zhongshan. In recent years, Zhongshan have continued to improve measures ensuring people's livelihood, enabling Hong Kong residents to enjoy the same treatment here as local residents in many aspects.
