In the first half of this year, a large number of "made in Zhongshan" and Zhongshan specialty products exported enjoyed benefits under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) policy.

In the first six months, Zhongshan Customs issued 1,024 RCEP certificates of origin (C/Os) for more than 90 local enterprises, involving a value of over 260 million yuan. Main export destinations included Japan and Australia.

Du Suanxu, customs supervisor of Zhongshan Yilibao Plastic Products Co Ltd, said that the company had applied for 112 RCEP C/Os in the first half, with a goods value of over 41 million yuan. It is estimated that by the end of 2022, the RCEP policy will help its clients in Japan save nearly 600,000 yuan in tariff reduction and exemption.
