The Zhongshan Investment Promotion Bureau was unveiled on the 16th floor, Tower 6 of the Summit in East District on the morning of August 8.

On July 19, Guo Wenhai, secretary of the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee, stressed at an investment promotion meeting that efforts should be made to built the utmost competitive investment promotion team, introduce the utmost competitive investment attraction policies, establish the most efficient project approval mechanisms, and take extraordinary measures to attract new investment, increase capital and expand production.

On July 28, during the 4th meeting of the Standing Committee of the 16th Zhongshan Municipal People's Congress, Peng Bo was appointed as director of the Zhongshan Investment Promotion Bureau.

The responsibilities of the Zhongshan Investment Promotion Bureau include: Coordinating, tracking and supervising investment promotion, attraction and project promotion in Zhongshan, drafting and carrying out ing the implementation of investment promotion policies in Zhongshan, promoting the recruitment of major projects, organizing and rolling out investment promotion policies, conducting key project introduction, carrying out major busiess exchange and promotion activities, coordinating and promoting the integrated investment work, organizing and carrying out project establishment and approval work, building and managing investment project service platforms, tracking and cultivating introduced projects, and building investment promotion teams in Zhongshan.
