Early on the morning of December 17, at the entrance to Zhongshan Xianggui Agricultural Products Co Ltd, an array of vehicles from Macao, loaded with fresh vegetables, was ready to depart. Upon customs inspection, about 50 tons of fresh vegetables could be delivered to Macao's morning vegetable wholesale markets.

Fresh agricultural products for Macao feature "short shelf life, urgent supply and robust demand". To ensure their quality and safety, Zhongshan Customs has developed a system of customs monitoring, enterprise self-control and joint control, to form a stringent regulation chain.

According to Zhongshan Customs, Zhongshan has supplied 4,200 batches of 21,000 tons of vegetables to Macao in the first 11 months this year. Since Macao's return to the motherland, Zhongshan has supplied 98,000 batches of 497,000 tons of vegetables to Macao.
