From May 16, 2022 to the end of 2022, a total of 217 batches of medicines have been imported through Zhongshan Port's drug import port, with a value of more than 100 million yuan. The port has become an accelerator for the development of the biomedical industry in Zhongshan.

In 2022, boosted by the port, Zhongshan's biomedical industry showed a strong momentum. Eight approval documents were issued under the policy of "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Drug and Medical Device Connection", Guangdong's first provincial pharmaceutical measurement and testing center was inaugurated, China's first AI filing review system for domestic ordinary cosmetics was selected as a typical case of national intelligent drug regulation and promoted in Guangdong, Zhongshan Bio-Tech's first local antigen test reagent and Akesobio's two new monoclonal antibody drugs were approved for marketing, Akesobio, Sinno, Perfect and Nox Bellcow were selected as key innovative service enterprises by the Guangdong Medical Products Administration, and Zhongshan was ranked first among Guangdong's prefecture-level cities and in the front rank of China in terms of production value of cosmetics.
