The Zhongshan Charity Parade 2023 was held on February 5.

According to a report recently released, in 2022, Zhongshan achieved a charitable donation income of 448 million yuan, up 45.5% year on year.

The income was mainly from enterprises (organizations), with an amount of 432 million yuan. Forty-one enterprises (organizations) donated over 1 million yuan each. Individual donations amounted to 16 million yuan, and two individuals donated over 1 million yuan each.

Zhongshan's charitable donations are used in a wide range of fields, such as poverty alleviation, educational and medical support, disaster relief and epidemic control, and scientific and cultural development. The expenditure on disaster relief and epidemic control totaled 189 million yuan in 2022, accounting for approximately 63%.
