After inspection, Zhongshan Forsee Power company obtained the identification result sheet of shipment package for outbound hazardous goods for its 800 cases of lithium-ion batteries from Zhongshan Customs on July 25. These batteries will be shipped to the UK, Italy, Australia and other countries by sea.
In the first half of this year, Zhongshan Forsee Power exported 230 million yuan worth lithium-ion battery products, up 70% year on year, said Deng Yinhe, the company's customs affairs spokesperson.
In the first 6 months, Zhongshan's total import-export value stood at 123.279 billion yuan, including exports of 105.573 billion yuan and imports of 17.707 billion yuan.
On the whole, Zhongshan withstood the downward pressure of foreign trade in the first half of this year, and its foreign trade structure continued to be optimized. The imports and exports from general trade accounting for 61.76% of the total.
Zhongshan achieved brilliant results in the export of electric passenger vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, solar cells and agricultural products. By the end of June, the total exports of electric passenger vehicles, lithium-ion batteries and solar cells hit 420 million yuan, up 32.5% year on year, and the total exports of agricultural products rose 44.9% year on year to 1.857 billion yuan.
In the first half of 2023, Zhongshan Customs issued a total of 1,741 preference certificates of origin under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership to more than 110 enterprises across the city, involving a total goods value of 470 million yuan, up approximately 70% and 71% year on year respectively.
