It is learned from Zhongshan Healthcare Security Bureau that Zhongshan would fully adjust the price of medical services of its public medical institutions starting on March 1.
This adjustment will be carried out among all public medical institutions of Zhongshan, including municipal public hospitals, town (district) public hospitals, and community health service centers (stations).
For the adjustment, the standards for the chief physician's consultation fee, deputy chief physician's consultation fee, emergency consultation fee, hospitalization consultation fee, and expert consultation fee at all levels of medical institutions will be raised.
In addition, a policy of no more than 30% price raising will be imposed on some items such as general treatment, clinical diagnosis and clinical surgical treatment for children 6 years old or under. Each public medical institution can independently set a specific surcharge ratio within the range while not exceeding 30%.
The price adjusted items will be covered by the medical insurance fund according to the Zhongshan Catalogue of Social Insurance Drugs, Diagnosis and Treatment Items and Medical Service Facilities.
