To further advance the development of manufacturing, Zhongshan is about to introduce a new set of 40 policy measures targeting the new energy, optoelectronics and optics and biomedical industries as well as SRDI enterprises.

Twenty-five measures involve financial incentives, and it is expected to invest more than 600 million yuan in sci-tech innovation and enterprise cultivation.

For example, for the biomedical industry, a maximum subsidy of 10 million yuan will be granted to a single R&D project, and 65 million yuan for a single new drug variety.

For the optoelectronics and optics industry, equity financing support will be provided to startup companies and seed projects initiated by sci-tech innovation talents. Meanwhile, a maximum subsidy of 30 million yuan will be granted for introducing innovative research teams.

Enterprises are encouraged to deeply cultivate niche markets, with over 200 million yuan provided to SRDI enterprises for their development. More incentives will be granted to eligible SRDI SMEs, "little giant" enterprises and national manufacturing single champion enterprises.
