I. Introduction

Tanzhou Town is located in the west bank of the Pearl River, the furthest end south of Zhongshan, adjacent to Zhuhai, Hong Kong and Macao. It enjoys a convenient transportation and complete infrastructure. The town covers 136 square kilometers with abundant land resources and about 200,000 people. III. An Introduction to Industrial Zones

The construction of industrial zones is the foundation for improving investment environment and promoting industrial grouping. Tanzhou Town has planed three large-scale town-level industrial parks.

Tanzhou No.1 Industrial Park: 333 ha of land has been developed and 170 enterprises have settled. In total it has contracted over 400 million US dollars and it is the major industrial zone in the town. An’nan Industrial Zone, proposed in 2002, has been approved by Guangdong Environmental Protection Bureau and it can accept investment projects like tanning, dyeing, etc. With years of development, the No.1 Industrial Park has formed distinct features in the following industries, such as shoe-making, garments, metal products, pharmaceutical and chemicals, electrical machinery (mold), etc.

Tanzhou No.2 Industrial Park: it is planned to cover 100 ha. This zone boasts beautiful environment and complete supporting facilities. Up to now 62 enterprises has been introduced with 85 million US dollars investment. it endeavors to make an industrial base with industries such as shoe-making, garments, metal products, pharmaceutical chemicals, electrical machinery (mold), etc.

Tanzhou No.3 Industrial Park: it is located at the junction of Tanzhou-Shenwan Highway, Shaxi-Tanzhou Highway and West Guangdong Coastal Expressway, so it enjoys the convenient transportation. It covers 500 ha and attracted nearly 100 enterprises.
