In 2013, Huangpu Dragon Boat Race was listed as a provincial intangible cultural heritage item of Guangdong. On the morning of September 23, also the 6th Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival, a dragon boat race event will take place in Huangpu Town to recreate the scene of hundreds of competing for the triumph.
