Construction of the Songwan Huigu Intelligent Manufacturing Park commenced on September 26. This marks the fourth industrial industrial park renovation project initiated in Huangpu Town since September this year.
The park will be developed and constructed in four phases. The first phase is now underway, requiring a total investment of 328 million yuan. The whole park's target output value will be 5 billion yuan upon completion.
The Songwan Huigu park covering an area of more than 200 mu is invested, developed and constructed by Zhengye International Holdings Company Limited, a Hong Kong Stock Exchange-listed company.
The first phase covers an area of 54 mu, with a construction area of approximately 84,000 square meters. Including six individual factory buildings and two high-rise, high-standard workshops, it will be home to enterprises in such industries as intelligent manufacturing, food processing and electronic assembly.
The park is located on the site of the former state-owned Zhongshan Sugar Factory. Phase IV of the project will draw upon its rich historical and cultural background and reasonably demolish or preserve existing structures to seamlessly integrate production and manufacturing with a sense of history.
The original factory canteen will be renovated into a historical and cultural museum, and the original factory wharf will also be transformed into a tourism site. Some old warehouses will be renovated and reinforced to create cultural and creative spaces with local characteristics and commercial value.
